The Collaborative Project of DC determines the potential clients’ financial eligibility when they apply for services through the Project. At the same time, the Collaborative Project of DC determines the cost, if any, that parties are asked to pay for professional services.
Some families will be offered services pro bono (no fee), others will be asked to pay a reduced fee. The Collaborative Project of DC considers certain Financial Guidelines in making its determination, but ultimately determines the eligibility and cost for each matter on a case by case basis after considering the entire financial profile of the family, including, among other things, the size of the family, the value of the family’s combined assets and debts, special circumstances and any other relevant criteria.
